Pousada São Filipe, a fortress built in the 17th century by King Philip II of Spain (Philip I of Portugal), offers a breathtaking view over the River Sado estuary. Setúbal, one of Portugal's main ports, also offers possibilities for beautiful walks within the historic centre and its surroundings, such as the river banks of the Sado or the Arrábida mountain range.
